Is it too much to say that WiMAX gives the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet a reason to exist? Nokia's it's-not-a-phone experiment in extreme Linux geekery now lets you surf the Web anywhere, any time, at least in Baltimore where Sprint has rolled out XOHM, its version of WiMAX. Nokia N82's excellent xenon flash, I'm genuinely comfortable using it to replace my digital camera, and even my camcorder in a pinch. MotoZINE ZN5 succeeds admirably at its two primary goals. The device features more of a BlackBerry-like form factor with a QWERTY keyboard below the 2.5-inch touch screen. We’ve covered the Android software extensively, so we know what to expect from the OS.

The Agora comes with a headphone jack built-in (no screwy adapters necessary). It also packs a 624 MHz processor compared to the G1’s 528 MHz processor in a form factor that just seems sleeker than the bulky G1.

The performance of the Nokia N97 is based purely on the demo version but I have to say I'm quite impressed. It looks like Nokia has fine tuned the Symbian OS to work well with touchscreen. On the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, you won't get much of the swiping and flicking finger action but they've refined it so that you can get that much out of the Nokia N97. Also, compared with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic demo version, the Nokia N97 interface is quite fast and responsive. You can barely see any hiccup on the accelerometer transition or when you're navigating the Symbian OS. The user interface on the Nokia N97 is also quite new but is still very user-friendly. Like I said, it's touch optimized and there are a lot of widgets you can play with. The built-in browser also looks promising though I wasn't able to see if it supports YouTube desktop PC version. Scrolling through webpages isn't as smooth and fluid as when you're surfing the Safari Browser on the iPhone but the webpages renders quickly though I don't know if that's because the pages that the person demonstrating the phone is already saved and bookmarked on the phone's memory.

The phone will cost a whopping $446! In addition to this, the price is subject to variation as vendors will bundle it with some kind of promotional merchandise and free gifts, so you can expect to pay about $100 or more.


The phone certainly looks amazing, isn’t it? But do you think it’s worth for that price? I guess it’s pretty expensive. Well looking at its current retail price, both in Taiwan and Spain, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic might as well be a high-end phone. But Nokia denied saying that it is only intended for the mid-range market. Moreover, I don’t think it competes with iPhone if you consider the price but feature wise it certainly looks great.

It's raining TouchFLO Windows Mobile smartphones. Hot on the heels of AT&T's HTC Fuze, Sprint has busted out its own version, the Touch Pro, a virtual clone of the Fuze but with a few new pluses.

The Sony Ericsson W350 is a free phone (with AT&T contract) that promises more than it can deliver. It looks and acts like a music and camera phone, but it doesn't perform well at those tasks. Even so, it's tiny and cheap, and for simply making calls, it'll do the trick
